3. How long we keep information

How long we keep information we collect about you depends on the type of information, as described in further detail below. Information you share on the Services

If your account is deactivated or disabled, some of your information and the content you have provided will remain in order to allow your team members or other users to make full use of the Services. For example, we continue to display votes you sent to the users that received them and continue to display content you provided.

Managed accounts

If the Services are made available to you through an organization (e.g., your employer), we retain your information as long as required by the administrator of your account.

Marketing information

If you have elected to receive marketing emails from us, we retain information about your marketing preferences for a reasonable period of time from the date you last expressed interest in our Services, such as when you last opened an email from us or ceased using your account. We retain information derived from cookies and other tracking technologies for a reasonable period of time from the date such information was created.

Except for cases in which disclosure is permitted under the Personal Information Protection Law or other laws and regulations, the Company will not provide personal information among user information to any third party without obtaining the prior consent of the user. However, this shall not apply in the following cases

  1. When we outsource all or part of the handling of personal information within the scope necessary to achieve the purpose of use.

  2. When personal information is provided as a result of the succession of business due to merger or other reasons.

When we receive a request from a user to disclose personal information in accordance with the provisions of the Personal Information Protection Law, we will confirm that the request is made by the user himself/herself and disclose the information to the user without delay (if the relevant personal information does not exist, we will notify the user to that effect). However, this does not apply to cases in which we are not obligated to disclose the information under the Personal Information Protection Law or other laws and regulations. Please note that a fee (1,000 yen per case) will be charged for the disclosure of personal information.

7. Correction and Suspension of Use of Personal Information

  1. If a user requests (1) correction of personal information in accordance with the provisions of the Personal Information Protection Law because the information is untrue, or (2) suspension of use of personal information in accordance with the provisions of the Personal Information Protection Law because the information is used for purposes other than those disclosed in advance or because the information was collected through deception or other wrongful means, we will conduct the necessary investigation without delay upon confirmation of the user's request. If a user requests that we stop using his/her personal information in accordance with the provisions of the Personal Information Protection Law, we will conduct the necessary investigation without delay after confirming that the request is made by the user himself/herself, and based on the results, we will correct or stop using the personal information and notify the user to that effect. If the Company decides not to correct or suspend the use of personal information based on reasonable grounds, the Company will notify the user to that effect.

  2. In the event that the Company is requested by the User to delete the User's personal information, if the Company deems it necessary to comply with the request, the Company will delete the personal information after confirming that the request is made by the User himself/herself, and will notify the User to that effect.

  3. The provisions of the preceding two paragraphs do not apply in cases where we are not obligated to correct, etc. or suspend the use of personal information under the Personal Information Protection Law or other laws and regulations.
